The Seated Camel

Updated: Sep 5, 2021

Written on a small box, which I put individual pieces from my Nativity, I read text I don't ever remember reading before. The box belongs to 'THE SEATED CAMEL.'

It says, " Even "ships of the desert" need to drink sometimes. But when the caravan reached the oasis, the well was dry. KNOWING SOMETHING THEIR MASTERS DO NOT, THE CAMELS REFUSE TO LEAVE."

That last line...I had to read it many times over...until finally it sank in deep. The crowd (the caravan) saw a dry well. The camels saw something different. They refused to leave because they were expectant. They knew the water would come. They knew that if they left the well, even though it appeared dry, they would die. Selah...

If you were expecting an oasis in 2018, but are looking at a 'dry well' going into 2019, have hope. Refuse to leave. Stay seated at the feet of your Well; Jesus. Drink deeply of Him and you will never be thirsty. (John 7:37-38) "If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water."
